Marketing my product

This past week I set up my Etsy shop https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/JeanCockburn

Today I took fifteen note cards printed from my watercolour sketches into Abraxas Books.

I checked into the Denman Craft Shop and found that a number of the items that I had in the shop sold over the summer. I added to my offerings two more crochet covered rocks (two had sold and one was left on the shelf), my Rose Garden quilt for $350.00 and my Garden Fantasy: Blossoms wall hanging for $325.00.

Then I visited Pelka for tea in the afternoon and we talked about how our art show went (very well!!), and where do we go from here, about artistic process, about marketing, about our upcoming classes at North Island College - and the sea, sun and birds were exceptionally beautiful - a great day!

Jane's 80th birthday party

Jane has been a mentor and inspiration to me in my art work. Today was her 80th birthday, and it was a magical day in her beautiful garden.

Etsy shop now open!

After the success of our art show, The Colour of Water, at the Denman Island Summer Art Gallery, both fellow artist Pelka Wiltshire and I were left with an inventory of art works.

In an initiative to reach a wider audience, both Pelka and I have opened Etsy shops.

See JeanCockburn at https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/JeanCockburn

and Pelka's shop TornEdgesStudio at https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/TornEdgesStudio

We would both love it if you would come and visit us in our shops, have a virtual cup of tea, talk art with us, and maybe even buy something!

Tuesday painting group

Today we visited the Mather farm, and although no on actually painted the cows, a few sketches were done, and a great time was had by all who attended. The walk up the farm road to the upper pastures and ponds was a highlight. Bucolic, beautiful . . .
