Community quilt square

From the minutes of our quilting guild:
"The community quilt request is for one square a generous 12 1/2 (make it 13 inch) expressing your thoughts on community whether this be Denman specifically or community in general - to be ready by the first meeting in May (2015). This quilt will be assembled at a community quilting meeting and donated to the Transition Denman Group who will raffle it off and give the proceeds to GLAD (Grannies Linking Africa and Denman: Stephen Lewis Foundation)."

Hmmm, hard one to do, for some reason. I did this rather clumsy block, foundation pieced and appliqued, today. I wonder if it will do?
