Jean Cockburn retired from her professional career as an academic librarian in 2008 to become a textile artist living on Denman Island, British Columbia. She draws, quilts, embroiders, knits and crochets, makes wearable art, weaves baskets, dyes fabric, and paints watercolours. Her work has been exhibited locally in juried and group shows on Denman Island, in Courtenay, Comox, and Duncan on Vancouver Island, in West Vancouver, and across Canada with the Surface Design Association.

OMG, I finished the last Soupçon Part 5 border - block number 9!

Hurray, I finished my last Part 5 block. And I figured that I had better pony up and learn the technique for foundation paper piecing those wee little 1/2 inch hexagon stars. Here is Karen's post on how to make the hexagon stars.

My last block done to Part 5! Note my hexagon stars in the corners and the centre of each side. Once I learned the technique I had to run with it.
