Art Show Summer 2013

Wow, am I excited. Pelka Wiltshire and I submitted a proposal for a joint fibre art show at the Denman Island Summer Art Gallery and it was accepted. We will be Show #4, opening 7 pm on July 25. The show runs from July 26 to August 6. I am having a wonderful time creating "art" pieces, as opposed to craft, which is how I normally view my quilting. I am not going to post any picture of my pieces until the show.
It is so much fun to create pieces knowing that they will be in an art show. I am using photographs of natural things, mostly plants, as inspiration. I keep finding it all around me. What a wonderful way to look at the world.
