Socks for DB

My  friend DB has very heavy calves and the usual hand knit socks do not fit her. She gave me her foot measurements in November and requested fine dark yarn, no pink please. I used the basic sock pattern from Wendy D. Johnson's Socks From the Toes Up, but modified it per my Ravelry project page DB's Modified Socks.
